Backing Up Your SD Card
- Plug in your Desire via the cable supplied with it
- Select Disk Drive when prompted on the Desire
- Open My Computer, select the SD Card
- Copy all the files on the SD Card
- Paste in a location on your computer Eg. C:SD_Card
Nandroid Restore
If the worst is to happen and an error occurs with the install you can revert back to your original 2.1 ROM or any ROM that you have backed up. NANDROID backup can be used at any time to take a “snapshot” of your current configuration, and NANDROID restore can be used to choose a particular backup and restore that. You may also be able to use this to restore your original ROM if you have a warranty issue.
- Hold down the Power+Vol. Down buttons
- Select Recovery on the white menu
- Once in ClockWork, select Nandroid or Backup/Restore depending on your version of ClockWorkMod
- In Nandroid select restore
- Follow the prompts
